RAWcooked cheat sheat

No Time To Wait 6 is only days away, and I’ve finally found a few minutes to create my first ever cheat sheet! Of course it has to be for MediaArea’s RAWcooked, but no basic operation as I feel the help and man pages of RAWcooked more than cover this kind of helpful information.

This cheat sheet is designed to help anyone wanting to increase the scale of their encoding, by providing some basic information about optimising your workstation, and how to increase RAWcooked encoding throughput with parallelisation.

This information has been learnt during three years of RAWcooked encoding at the wonderful BFI National Archive, and thanks to the team for all their assistance. I’m very grateful for feedback. The full document can be found on the BFIDataDigiPres GitHub here.
