As Knowledge Learning and Collections Developer at the British Film Institute, I write Python and BASH shell scripts to automate preservation practices for the BFI National Archives. I’m passionate about open source and I’m keen to participate in testing and development of the latest digital preservation tools, with the potential for enhancing archival workflows.
Before joining the BFI, I worked for six years as a Developer Archivist and Colourist at the Media Archive for Central England. Prior to this I was a partner at Primetime Media for twenty five years working as an independent video producer and camerawoman for ITV Yorkshire’s Calendar News. She/her. Views expressed on this blog are my own.
